Tourism Authority of Thailand and LOT Polish Airlines Unite to Propel Growth with Inaugural Warsaw-Krabi Charter Flight

The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), in collaboration with local government agencies and private sector stakeholders, celebrated the arrival of 294 Polish tourists aboard the inaugural charter flight from Warsaw. Operated by LOT Polish Airlines, Poland’s national carrier, and coordinated by leading tour operator ITAKA, flight LO 6281 touched down at Krabi International Airport on 19 December 2024. This milestone signifies a new chapter in Thai-Polish tourism relations.
A Grand Reception for a Historic Flight
The landmark event was graced by notable attendees, including Mr.Krabi’s Deputy Governor, Suwit Suriyawong, and Ms. Suladda Sarutilavan, the Executive Director for the Europe Region at the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT).Their presence underscored the importance of fostering stronger connections between Thailand and Poland through tourism.
Seasonal Charter Service Enhances Connectivity
This newly launched seasonal charter service between Warsaw and Krabi is scheduled to operate from 18 December 2024 to 19 March 2025. Utilizing the state-of-the-art Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, each flight offers 294 seats, amounting to 4,116 seats over the winter schedule. The route promises to enhance accessibility for Polish travelers seeking Thailand’s tropical allure.
In addition to the Warsaw-Krabi service, LOT Polish Airlines and ITAKA are coordinating 77 charter flights this winter. These include routes from Warsaw to Bangkok and Warsaw to Phuket, with a combined capacity of 13,073 seats. Moreover, the airline’s partnership with Rainbow Tour extends this network to encompass Warsaw-Bangkok, Katowice-Bangkok, and Warsaw-Phuket flights.
Eastern Europe: A Gateway to Thailand’s Appeal
Charter flights from Poland, the Czech Republic, and Slovakia are collectively providing 51,971 seats this winter, further highlighting Thailand’s growing popularity as a premier travel destination. These efforts align with TAT’s commitment to tapping into Eastern European markets and promoting Thailand as a year-round destination for global travelers.
