Hong Kong Tourism Board Strengthens Global Hospitality and Business Appeal with New Initiatives Showcased at the Asia Financial Forum
Thursday, January 16, 2025
The Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) continues its efforts to position Hong Kong as a leading global hub for Meetings, Incentives, Conventions, and Exhibitions (MICE). By curating exceptional experiences for business travelers, the HKTB reinforces the city’s identity as the “World’s Meeting Place.” These initiatives align with the newly introduced “Development Blueprint for Hong Kong Tourism Industry 2.0,” showcasing Hong Kong’s renowned “spirit of hospitality” to global audiences. This vision was recently demonstrated during the Asia Financial Forum (AFF), the city’s premier financial event, where approximately 100 guests experienced Hong Kong’s diverse offerings beyond its business prowess.
Phoebe Shing, Director of Business Development Team Lead, MICE of Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB), said, “The Tourism Blueprint 2.0 has reaffirmed that hospitality is also about creating a rich, and enjoyable experience for visitors. AFF, an established event launched by the HKSAR Government in 2007 and the first major event for Hong Kong on the 2025 events calendar, is the perfect platform for showcasing Hong Kong-style hospitality to an important audience of movers and shakers in the global financial field.”
A Showcase of Iconic Hong Kong Experiences
The AFF attendees were treated to a carefully curated itinerary that blended business and leisure (“bleisure”), highlighting Hong Kong’s multi-dimensional charm. From breathtaking panoramic views to cultural immersion, these experiences showcased why Hong Kong is an ideal destination for business events.
