Brussels Airport Aviation Awards 2024 celebrated excellence in punctuality, safety, network growth, and sustainability with 11 prestigious awards.

The Brussels Airport Aviation Awards once again took center stage on the evening of 20 February, continuing a tradition that has spanned nearly two decades. This prestigious event, held at the airport’s premises, celebrated the exceptional achievements of airlines and partners in 2024, recognizing their efforts in punctuality, safety, network expansion, and environmental sustainability. Eleven distinguished awards were presented, including the coveted Diamond Award, shining a spotlight on those who set new benchmarks in the aviation industry.

The Punctuality & Safety Awards are dedicated to airlines that excel in maintaining on-time performance and upholding the highest safety standards. Punctuality is evaluated by strict adherence to schedules, with arrivals and departures considered on time if they occur within a 15-minute window of the scheduled time.

Transavia Secures Top Spot for Short Haul Punctuality in 2024

In 2024, Transavia secured its first-ever win in the Short Haul Airline Punctuality category. Operating up to six daily flights to Southern Europe, the airline distinguished itself by maintaining impeccable schedule adherence. Competing against Air Europa, Finnair, Icelandair, and KLM, Transavia emerged as the most reliable short-haul carrier.

Hainan Airlines Wins Long Haul Punctuality Award for 2024

For the second consecutive year, Hainan Airlines was recognized for its exceptional punctuality in the long-haul category. Operating two daily flights to Beijing, Shanghai, and Shenzhen, Hainan Airlines demonstrated consistent schedule reliability, outperforming other nominees, including Delta Air Lines, Emirates, Ethiopian Airlines, and United Airlines. …
