Tourism Malaysia actively showcased its Visit Malaysia 2026 initiative at the 20th Dhaka Travel Mart (DTM) 2025 in Bangladesh, held from 6 to 8 February, capturing the attention of international travelers.
Marking its 13th participation at the Dhaka Travel Mart, the Malaysian delegation, consisting of tour operators, airlines, and representatives from Education Malaysia Global Services (EMGS) and KPJ Healthcare Berhad, showcased Malaysia’s finest offerings to the Bangladeshi market.
With the rising interest in unique and personalized travel experiences, Malaysia has been expanding its tourism portfolio to meet the needs of diverse travelers.
During the event, the country’s tourism board also highlighted medical tourism, educational opportunities, and ecotourism to draw more visitors from Bangladesh and other South Asian nations.
Tourism Malaysia’s presence at the Dhaka Travel Mart (DTM) 2025 aimed to enhance the country’s visibility and highlight its distinctive tourism offerings while strengthening ties with partners in Bangladesh.
Additionally, the scheduled business-to-business (B2B) meetings created opportunities for potential partnerships and future collaborations.
In 2024, Malaysia welcomed 25,016,698 international visitors, including 143,919 tourists from Bangladesh.
Looking ahead, the country is targeting 31.3 million international tourist arrivals and RM125.5 billion in tourism revenue for 2025.
