Odisha is set to showcase its vast tourism potential at the 6th edition of Odisha Travel Bazaar, scheduled to take place from February 24 to 27, 2025, in Bhubaneswar. Organized by the Department of Tourism in collaboration with the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI), this prestigious event aims to strengthen Odisha’s position as a premier travel destination on the global stage.

A Strategic Push for Tourism Growth

The Odisha Travel Bazaar 2025 is designed to promote the state’s diverse travel experiences—from cultural heritage and eco-tourism to pristine beaches, adventure tourism, and spiritual circuits. With the state government’s visionary approach and targeted policies, Odisha is striving to emerge as a world-class tourism hub.

International Participation and Business Collaborations

This year’s edition will witness over 100 Domestic Tour Operators (DTOs) from 30+ Indian cities and 30+ Foreign Tour Operators (FTOs) from 17 countries, including Australia, the UK, Germany, Belgium, South Africa, Spain, and Singapore. These participants will engage in strategic business-to-business (B2B) meetings with 70 tourism sellers from Odisha to foster collaborations and expand tourism outreach.

Additionally, the event will feature over 3,000 pre-scheduled meetings between tourism stakeholders, travel operators, and government representatives. The program also includes Business-to-Government (B2G) meetings, aimed at streamlining policies and investment opportunities within the tourism sector.

Showcasing Odisha’s Hidden Gems

As part of the initiative to introduce Odisha’s top travel attractions to key stakeholders, familiarization trips will be arranged for visiting delegates. These excursions will cover Bhitarkanika National Park, the artisan village of Raghurajpur, the historic Puri-Konark circuit, and the Buddhist heritage sites of the Diamond Triangle.

Beyond business engagements, adventure tourism workshops will also be conducted, reflecting Odisha’s growing focus on eco-adventure experiences that appeal to modern travelers.

Odisha’s Destination Wedding Vision

In a bid to diversify its tourism offerings, the Odisha government is set to launch a Destination Wedding Policy to position the state’s picturesque locations as premium wedding destinations. This initiative will involve developing the necessary infrastructure to cater to high-end wedding tourism, further boosting Odisha’s appeal among domestic and international travelers.
