Lotte Duty Free in South Korea celebrated its 5,000th foreign visitor at the Myeongdong Welcome Center with KRW500,000 in LDF PAY during the Korea Grand Sale.

Lotte Duty Free recently celebrated its 5,000th foreign visitor to the Welcome Center in Myeongdong, Seoul, by awarding KRW500,000 (approximately US$345) in LDF PAY. This digital payment platform, introduced in 2019, is integrated with the retailer’s membership program and can be used for both online and in-store transactions, seamlessly connecting shopping rewards across both platforms.

The presentation, held on 7 February, was part of the ongoing ‘Korea Grand Sale’ campaign, which runs from 15 January to 28 February. Organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the event offers a range of exclusive benefits to international visitors in areas like shopping, culture, and tourism.

As part of the campaign, Lotte Duty Free is providing additional incentives until 28 February. Foreign shoppers visiting the downtown store with a special coupon book can enjoy perks such as an upgrade to Gold membership, PRE-LDF PAY credits, and instant discount coupons. They can also earn bonus points worth up to US$10 for online purchases through Lotte Internet Duty Free by using the QR code in the coupon book.
