(RNS) — The Bible has made Donald Trump feel like a million bucks.
The former reality-TV star turned president earned more than a million dollars in royalties for endorsing the God Bless the USA Bible, according to a newly released annual financial disclosure from the White House.
That disclosure, dated June 13, showed Trump earned more than $600 million last year while running for the White House. Along with more than $200 million from his golf courses, Trump earned $3 million from “Save America,” a coffee table book emblazoned with a photo from a failed assassination attempt in July of 2024; $2.8 million from Trump-branded watches; $2.5 million from Trump sneakers and fragrances; a million from Trump guitars; and $57 million from a crypto company.
Then there was the $1.3 million for the “Greenwood Bible,” a reference to the God Bless the USA Bible named for country singer Lee Greenwood’s signature 1984 hit, which Trump began promoting during the spring of 2024. The leather-bound edition includes the King James Version, along with the Bill of Rights, the U.S. Constitution and lyrics to Greenwood’s hit song.
“Religion and Christianity are the biggest things missing from this country, and I truly believe that we need to bring them back, and we have to bring them back fast,” Trump said in the video endorsement, adding that the Bible is his favorite book.
Royalties for the God Bless the USA Bible were paid under a publishing agreement with LMA Productions Inc., a Nashville-based marketing company that “specializes in specialty brand-oriented products and projects with a unique marketing twist.”
