The sites are known for the abundance of marine life, colorful coral reefs, and historic submerged landmarks. Among other things, the festival will include dives to the Molinere Underwater Sculpture Park, an international and multi-award-winning site containing sculptures by Jason deCaires Taylor that have evolved into a successful artificial reef.The recently opened ‘A World Adrift ‘ sculpture park on Carriacou will also feature prominently. This underwater sculpture park is the first of its kind: An art piece designed to bring attention to ocean conservation, as well as providing a home for underwater creatures. Delegates will have the rare chance to experience directly how art and conservation can come together to safeguard and uplift marine life.Conservation-Conversations Speaker SeriesOne of the features of this festival is the ‘Conservation-Conversations’ series. This is an opportunity for people to talk to the experts and learn from the world’s leading experts and authors on the species, as well as conservation experts, dive shop owners and local people. These speakers will spend the week leading panel discussions on marine protection areas, saving coral reefs and how diving can be a sustainable industry – as well as the future of eco-tourism in the Caribbean.The role of youth in ocean stewardship will also be spotlighted in the speaker series. These discussions will incentivise students and young environmentalists to join in and share their vision of the future in marine conservation.
