One of the largest events in the festival is the Ballarat Seniors Festival Community Expo on Wednesday 22 October. Held at the new Ballarat Showgrounds and Events Centre from 10 am to 2 pm, this expo serves as a major showcase of community groups, social organizations, and special interest groups throughout Ballarat. It provides a platform for various local organizations to highlight the services they offer to seniors and invites older residents to learn more about how they can stay engaged in the community.Another major highlight is the launch of The Biscuit Tin on Tuesday 14 October. This initiative is designed to raise awareness of the contributions of older women and emphasize the importance of respect for seniors. During this event, 10 older women from Ballarat will be celebrated for their accomplishments, and the Recipes for Respect book will be released.
