The concert commemorated two important milestones: the tenth anniversary of the China Cultural Centre in Fiji and the fiftieth anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Fiji. It was co-hosted by the Chinese Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the Fijian Ministry of iTaukei Affairs, Culture, Heritage, and Arts.The occasion, called “Xi’an Drum Music and South Pacific Melodies”, was organised to honour the respect and cooperation that have been developed over the course of fifty years of diplomatic relations.
