September 9, 2025Kerala, known for its rich cultural heritage, welcomed a vibrant group of Responsible Tourism (RT) exponents from 10 countries for a unique Cultural Exchange Programme during the state’s Onam celebrations. From September 4 to 11, this initiative, organized by Kerala’s RT Mission Society under the Department of Tourism, presented global leaders in responsible tourism a firsthand experience of Kerala’s harvest festival in all its cultural grandeur.The group consisted of tourists, RT leaders, researchers, and tour operators from countries like the U.K., France, South Korea, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Taiwan, Nepal, Sri Lanka, and Romania. The group visited the camp of the Sitaram Mill Lane Pulikkali team, where they observed the intricacies of the artists’ routines before the performance.
