United States Antimony tumbled nearly 15%, Critical Metals dropped 9% and USA Rare Earth fell 7%. MP Materials and Energy Fuels both shed about 4%. Avidity Biosciences — Avidity Biosciences soared nearly 44% after Novartis said it would buy the biopharmaceutical company for about $12 billion in cash. Novartis will pay Avidity shareholders $72 a share, a premium of 46% to Friday’s closing price. U.S.-listed shares of Novartis slipped 1.3%.
