Semiconductor manufacturers — The group advanced after Iren’s nearly $10 billion deal to access Nvidia chips, which broadly lifted investor sentiment on semiconductor demand. Nvidia rose nearly 2%, while Micron Technology and Advanced Micro Devices advanced roughly 4% and 1%, respectively. ON Semiconductor – ON added more than 3% after third-quarter profit and sales beat analyst estimates.
