The US Virgin Islands Department of Tourism, in collaboration with the Division of Festivals, has announced the updated schedule and Village lineup for the much-anticipated 2025-2026 Crucian Christmas Festival. Set to begin on December 27, this week-long celebration promises an exciting mix of music, food, and cultural festivities that will bring together locals, diaspora, and visitors from across the globe to experience the rich, vibrant traditions of St. Croix.
The Crucian Christmas Festival is a beloved celebration in the Virgin Islands, one that honors the island’s diverse cultural heritage. J’ouvert Morning: A Traditional Start to the Festivities
The festival will officially kick off at daybreak on Wednesday, December 31, with the famous J’ouvert morning celebration. A time-honored tradition, J’ouvert fills the streets with revelry, color, and excitement. The festivities will culminate near the Buddhoe Park Bandstand, where a colorful Food Fair will take place. The fair will feature some of the island’s best authentic flavors and culinary heritage, giving visitors a true taste of the island’s rich food culture. From spicy local delicacies to sweet tropical treats, this food fair will be an essential part of the festival experience.
The Festival Village: A Showcase of Local and International Talent
A key highlight of the 2025-2026 Crucian Christmas Festival is the Festival Village, which will honor St. Croix-based calypso group Xpress Band. The village will feature a vibrant mix of performances from both international and regional stars, as well as homegrown talent that has made waves across the music industry. Performers such as Voice, Nadia Batson, Romain Virgo, Morgan Heritage, and D’Yani will take the stage, bringing the very best of Caribbean music to the forefront of the festival.
