The Aritar-Dalapchand Lampokhari Lake Tourism Development Society (ADLDS) is spearheading the revival, which marks a triumphant return for an event that was a cornerstone of local identity from 2006 to 2018. The upcoming festivities, scheduled for March 27 and 28, are more than just a seasonal celebration; they represent the tenacity of a community determined to reclaim its place on the global tourism map.The groundwork for this event was laid during a high-level coordination meeting held at the lake’s nearby picnic grounds. Suren Kumar Pradhan, Rongli’s Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM), emphasised that the festival’s success is inextricably linked to the spirit of the locals. The festival narrative is no longer viewed solely as an administrative task but rather as a collective heritage owned by the Aritar and Dalapchand communities.
