Dr. Sungchan Jeong is a NASA Postdoctoral Program (NPP) Fellow at NASA Ames Research Center starting in December 2025. He conducts research on monitoring terrestrial ecosystem dynamics by integrating multi-source satellite observations with machine learning models. He is currently working on the harmonization of geostationary and low-Earth-orbit satellite observations to better understand global vegetation changes. Before joining NASA Ames Research Center as an NPP Fellow, he was a postdoctoral researcher at Seoul National University. He graduated from Korea National University of Education with a B.S. in Environmental Education in 2020. He received his M.S. in Landscape Architecture in 2022 and his Ph.D. in Engineering in 2025, both from Seoul National University.
