Jenkins, known for creating HBO’s ‘Our Flag Means Death,’ was brought on in July 2025 to write the pilot and serve as showrunner pending series order. As recently as April, studio head James Gunn indicated that ‘Booster Gold’ remained in active development, though he noted that ‘The Authority’ had been shelved.
