Hopkins has an established working relationship with Georgia Tech offensive coordinator George Godsey, who previously served as his offensive coordinator during two seasons with the Houston Texans and also worked with him during his time with the Baltimore Ravens.
Prior to the Georgia Tech opportunity, Hopkins spent time with the New England Patriots coaching staff, assisting the team’s coaching and personnel departments. His connection to Patriots coach Mike Vrabel dates back to their time together with the Tennessee Titans.
During the 2025 season, Hopkins played for the Ravens, recording 22 receptions for 330 yards and two touchdowns. The three-time first-team All-Pro and five-time Pro Bowl selection expressed earlier this offseason his interest in potentially playing a 14th NFL season, though he acknowledged his role had evolved to primarily situational assignments, particularly on third-down situations.
If Hopkins concludes his playing career, he will finish with 13,295 career receiving yards and 85 touchdowns, both ranking in the top 20 all-time. Over his tenure, he played for the Texans, Cardinals, Titans, Chiefs, and Ravens. Hopkins was an All-American at Clemson and a four-star recruit from the 2010 recruiting class.
