The model has been integrated into MDASH, a multi-model scanning platform introduced earlier in May that combines 100 security-trained AI agents. According to Microsoft, the integrated system achieved a 96 percent score on CyberGYM, a standard industry benchmark, surpassing competing models from Anthropic, Google, and OpenAI. Microsoft stated that the updated MDASH costs approximately half as much as the previous version.
Project Perception functions as a platform that deploys specialized AI agents to perform red-, blue-, and green-team security operations—encompassing vulnerability discovery, risk assessment, and remediation. The platform selects which AI models to deploy based on task requirements, effectiveness metrics, and cost considerations. Microsoft claimed that Project Perception can handle approximately 90 percent of security tasks at lower costs than competing solutions.
The company characterized the new tools as a response to evolving cybersecurity challenges, noting that organizations face increasing difficulty securing complex digital environments using traditional approaches. Microsoft stated that security teams currently struggle to consolidate data and risk insights across diverse sources while maintaining pace with emerging threats.
