Prime Video announced casting decisions for the romance drama series Rose Hill. Jake Weary, Sean O’Pry, Hannah Galway, and Sadie Dickerson have been selected for lead roles in the project, which adapts Elsie Silver’s bestselling book series comprising Wild Love, Wild Eyes, Wild Side, and Wild Card.
Weary, known for work in The Waterfront and Animal Kingdom, will portray West Belmont, a rancher grappling with commitment concerns. O’Pry, a newcomer to scripted television, takes on the role of Ford Grant, a record label owner and billionaire described in the series logline. Galway, featured in The Altruists, will play Rose Belmont, West’s sister and Ford’s romantic interest. Dickerson, whose background includes theater work, rounds out the principal cast as Skylar Stone, a country-pop musician.
The series, set in a fictional Canadian mountain town also called Rose Hills, centers on the dynamic between best friends West and Ford as romantic entanglements develop within their tight-knit community. The introduction of Stone’s character intensifies interpersonal tensions among the core group.
Heidi Cole McAdams, who previously co-created and served as co-showrunner on Death and Other Details, will write and run the show as executive producer. Marc Webb, known for directorial work, will helm the pilot and second episode while also executive producing. Elsie Silver serves as executive producer on the project alongside Temple Hill’s Wyck Godfrey, Marty Bowen, and James Seidman, with Annika Patton co-executive producing through the same company.
