Beyond Desperation, the pair are working on Long Lost for Amblin and Universal, contributing writing to Chris Columbus’ third Gremlins installment, and are involved with animated adaptations of Venom and Metal Gear Solid at Sony. At Searchlight, Taylor Friedman and Cameron Chidsey are overseeing the Desperation project.
King’s works have experienced heightened adaptation activity in recent years, with multiple projects reaching audiences. Raimi, known for his horror films including the Evil Dead franchise and the original Spider-Man trilogy, continues an active production slate through Ghost House Pictures.
