Wallbox, a publicly traded provider of electric vehicle charging and energy management systems, and Turning Point Energy, a Saudi Arabian EV infrastructure company, announced a significant deployment milestone in the Kingdom. The two organizations revealed that they have collectively installed and sold more than 10,000 charging units across Saudi Arabia since establishing their partnership in 2022.
The collaboration has enabled Turning Point Energy to operate as an official distributor, certified installer, and maintenance provider for Wallbox’s charging solutions throughout the country. The deployment encompasses both alternating current and direct current charging technologies, with installations spanning residential, commercial, and public charging locations across diverse customer segments and use cases.
Wallbox’s Chief Business Officer noted that Saudi Arabia continues to pursue substantial investments in electric mobility infrastructure as part of broader transportation and energy transition initiatives. He emphasized that the partnership has facilitated deployment of dependable charging infrastructure while maintaining rigorous standards for installation and ongoing service. Turning Point’s leadership characterized the milestone as evidence of growing electric vehicle adoption in the market and highlighted the critical role that accessible charging networks play in supporting the broader transition to electric transportation.
The two companies have also supported infrastructure projects connected to Turning Point’s relationships with major electric vehicle manufacturers operating in the region, including BYD and Lucid. Both organizations indicated plans to continue their expansion of charging infrastructure deployments as the Saudi Arabian EV market evolves, with the goal of providing scalable and reliable solutions to support continued growth in electric mobility adoption.
