Fasset hits unicorn status with $68m Series C funding

Fasset, a stablecoin-powered neobank platform, has reached unicorn status following the completion of its Series C funding round. The round raised $68 million and was led by Japan’s SBI Group, valuing the company at $1 billion.

The latest funding announcement came after the company disclosed a $51 million Series B round earlier in the year, which included participation from Speedinvest and other strategic investors. Combined with the Series C proceeds, Fasset has raised $119 million in total funding during the current period.

Founded in 2019, Fasset operates a digital financial platform enabling customers to receive, hold, move, spend, and invest across multiple currencies, markets, and asset classes. The company reported processing more than $40 billion in annualized transaction volume and maintaining a user base exceeding 3 million wallets distributed across 125 countries, alongside relationships with more than 1,000 enterprise customers.

According to leadership, the Series C capital will be directed toward expanding Own Network, Fasset’s regulated financial infrastructure connecting banks, telecommunications companies, and payment and liquidity service providers. The network is designed to facilitate international market settlement. The company also intends to increase its investment in artificial intelligence systems focused on corridor banking, stablecoin settlement, and tokenized asset infrastructure.

SBI Holdings leadership stated the investment reflects alignment between Fasset’s vision of borderless money movement and the broader on-chain economic initiatives pursued by the SBI Group within digital finance sectors, with particular emphasis on emerging markets showing long-term growth potential.
