Pysher then sat on the back porch and contacted his friends via FaceTime to inform them of his error. The friends began traveling to retrieve him, but police and emergency vehicles arrived within minutes. Glen Pysher noted that his son was on a FaceTime call with his friends at 12:32 a.m. and was shot approximately three minutes later, questioning what kind of interaction transpired during that brief interval.
Glenwood Pysher IV was preparing to enter his senior year at St. Elizabeth University in New Jersey, where he played baseball and intended to pursue a career as a high school history teacher and coach. Upper Pottsgrove Township Police Chief Al Werner declined to release details about the incident, including officer identities, pending completion of the investigation. The Montgomery County Detective Bureau is leading the inquiry. Glen Pysher stated that police have provided minimal information to his family and have hesitated to return his son’s personal belongings for funeral arrangements.
