“Five Nights at Freddy’s” and American Dream, an entertainment and retail center in East Rutherford, New Jersey, have announced plans to open a Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza location in 2027. The venue will operate as a functional quick-service restaurant designed in collaboration with ScottGames, the holder of the intellectual property rights to the franchise.
The pizzeria will offer dining alongside entertainment components, including two animatronic stage shows. One stage will feature Freddy and the Fazbear Band, while a second area called Pirate Cove will showcase Foxy the Pirate. Guests will have access to arcade games, can watch the animatronic performances, and will be able to participate in survival horror-themed multiplayer game experiences.
Atreyu Alcantar, creative manager for licensing and location-based entertainment at American Dream, emphasized that the attraction aims for authenticity. According to Alcantar, the creative team prioritized accurate animatronic design, food quality, and overall immersion to appeal to both longtime fans of the franchise and new audiences.
“Five Nights at Freddy’s” began as a video game series created by Scott Cawthon and has expanded across multiple media formats, including novels, graphic novels, and films. The game’s narrative typically centers on a character working to survive encounters with dangerous animatronic characters connected to the fictional Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza restaurant chain.
American Dream operates additional attractions including DreamWorks Water Park, Nickelodeon Universe Theme Park, Sesame Street Learn & Play, Legoland Discovery Center, and Sea Life Aquarium.
