According to Microsoft, MDASH with the new model achieved a 96 percent score on CyberGYM, a standard industry benchmark, surpassing competing solutions from Anthropic, Google, and OpenAI. The updated MDASH offering carries half the operational cost of its predecessor.

The second tool announced is Project Perception, a collection of specialized AI agents designed to execute red-team, blue-team, and green-team security functions. The platform uses model selection algorithms that consider effectiveness and customer cost implications when assigning security tasks. Microsoft stated that Project Perception handles approximately 90 percent of tasks at lower costs than competing platforms, with customers accessing premium alternatives only for the remaining 10 percent of operations.

Microsoft framed the new tools as responses to evolving security challenges, noting that AI is accelerating both the speed and scale of cyberattacks. The company stated that security teams face increasing pressure to protect complex digital environments using outdated methodologies. Both tools are currently available in preview mode.
