Josh Safdie’s “Marty Supreme” won recognition for outstanding locations in a period feature film, drawing on locations across the New York region including New York City, the Hudson Valley, and New Jersey, along with Tokyo.
Television awards were distributed across three categories. “Pluribus” took the contemporary television series honor after filming in Albuquerque, Montana, Nevada, and Spain. “Fallout” Season 2 won the period television series award following production in California locations including the Dumont Dunes, Mojave Desert, Antelope Valley, and Santa Clarita. “Black Rabbit” received recognition in the anthology, movie, or limited series category based on its New York City production locations.
Special recognition awards were also presented. Four-time Emmy-winning director Vince Gilligan received the Eva Monley Award in acknowledgment of his career-long dedication to location-based storytelling. Mike Fantasia, a location manager who has worked on productions including “Top Gun: Maverick,” “Killers of the Flower Moon,” and “Spider-Man: Homecoming,” was presented with the Lifetime Achievement Award. Nancy Haecker, the LMGI Awards Chair, characterized the ceremony as a celebration of achievement and industry contributions.
