EST N8 and BrandThink have announced the formation of B-EST Pictures, a collaboration designed to develop, finance and produce feature films and live experiences. The venture will initially focus on content from Southeast Asia before expanding into broader international markets, with plans to announce three additional titles in the coming months.
“Tame,” a horror-suspense feature rooted in Thai folklore, serves as the inaugural project under the new banner. Directed by Thamuya Thasananukulkij in his feature directorial debut, the film is set in a rural bullfighting village and centers on a teenage girl who weaponizes ancient spiritual forces against her family. The movie will launch international sales at the Toronto Film Festival’s market ahead of its theatrical release in Thailand on Oct. 29. The cast includes T-pop performer Pimmada Chaisakcharoen, alongside Chayanit Chansangavej and Jespipat Tilapornputt.
The film is produced by Anucha Boonyawatana, whose prior work “Malila: The Farewell Flower” earned recognition at major festivals, and BrandThink founder Ekalak Klunson, whose production credits include Netflix titles. B-EST Pictures combines EST N8’s infrastructure in sales, financing and distribution with BrandThink’s expertise in connecting with Thai creative communities and youth culture.
EST N8 operates across film financing, sales and acquisition, positioning Asian cinema for international audiences while also distributing Western titles across Asia. BrandThink operates as a Bangkok-based content company encompassing publishing, brand collaborations and cinema production.
