NBC has greenlit production on “The Voice: Celebrity,” marking the franchise’s first celebrity-focused season, which will premiere sometime in 2027. The network made the announcement on Tuesday. Keke Palmer will serve as host for the celebrity edition. The coaching panel includes Joe Jonas in his debut as a “Voice” coach, alongside Queen Latifah and Riley Green, who will return immediately following their debuts in Season 30 this fall. The regular edition of “The Voice,” hosted by Carson Daly with Adam Levine as a returning coach, is set to premiere Monday, Sept. 21 at 8 p.m. ET.
Palmer brings prior hosting experience to the role, having previously helmed NBC’s “Password” and currently hosting Peacock’s “The ‘Burbs.” She has additional hosting credits across television and served as a guest mentor on “American Idol.” Beyond her television work, Palmer is also an accomplished actress, singer, songwriter, producer, and author.
The celebrity edition will incorporate new format elements designed to showcase behind-the-scenes preparation. These features include “Voice Boot Camp,” which will document celebrities preparing for their blind auditions, the “VIP Room” showing artists observing their competitors perform, and the “Workroom” capturing celebrities as they rehearse and strategize. Celebrity contestant details will be revealed at a future date.
“The Voice: Celebrity” is produced by MGM Alternative, Warner Horizon Unscripted Television, and ITV Studios The Voice USA, Inc. The executive producer roster includes creator John de Mol, Mark Burnett, Audrey Morrissey, Amanda Zucker, Kyra Thompson, Adam H.
