Aqara has introduced an extensive portfolio of smart lighting products designed to integrate with major home automation platforms. The company’s offerings span both indoor and outdoor applications, marking a significant expansion into the lighting segment of the smart home market.
Among the new indoor products is the Floor Lamp T1, a standing fixture that measures 4.6 feet in height and features LED technology with RGBIC capabilities. The lamp includes 18 individually addressable zones, allowing for customized lighting effects and ambient color control around its base. This design approach creates a radiant lighting effect that casts color onto surrounding walls, similar to existing solutions from competitors in the market.
Aqara’s outdoor lighting offerings include permanent smart lights equipped with individually addressable LEDs, as well as RGBIC string lights that offer flexible customization options. These outdoor fixtures can be configured with various color schemes suitable for seasonal celebrations or alternatively set to warm and cool white tones for general ambiance and entertaining.
The company has also refreshed its LED light strip product line, maintaining the 16 million color palette of previous generations while introducing an enhanced chip. This updated chip enables multi-zone control functionality with 18 independent zones per 3-meter section. Additionally, Aqara unveiled a second-generation downlight available in 4-inch and 6-inch configurations, offering customers the choice between RGB-CCT options, which combine colors with adjustable white temperature, or RGB-only variants.
All of the newly announced lighting products are engineered to work with Thread-compatible platforms including Apple Home, Google Home, Amazon Alexa, Samsung SmartThings, Home Assistant, and Homey. The devices support both Zigbee and Thread connectivity standards. The company has not yet disclosed pricing information or release dates for these products.
