Aideen Hand directs the project while also serving as producer, with Paul Kennedy as co-director. Christina Carty authored the screenplay.
“Baile” represents the third feature film commissioned through the Gealán initiative, a collaborative program established by BBC Gaeilge, TG4, and Northern Ireland Screen. Previous projects under this scheme included “Doineann” and “Aontas,” the latter of which served as Ireland’s official submission for the Academy Awards’ Best International Feature Film category.
