Comparable results have emerged from Kazakhstan, another former Soviet nation with aging fossil fuel infrastructure, which has also sealed eight leaks despite receiving fewer overall alerts. In contrast, several major economies have shown limited responsiveness to methane alerts. The United States received 138 alerts but responded to none and completed no repairs, while Russia, China, and Iran similarly failed to respond to any notifications. Mexico, Brazil, and Argentina demonstrated full responsiveness rates to methane alerts.
