The Television Academy has announced the initial group of presenters for the 78th Emmy Awards ceremony, scheduled to air Monday on NBC and Peacock. The presentation roster includes the trio of original “Charlie’s Angels” stars Kate Jackson, Cheryl Ladd, and Jaclyn Smith, who are commemorating the 50th anniversary of the ABC series that debuted in 1976. Their appearance as presenters is expected to feature an on-stage reunion of the three actresses, following a panel appearance they made earlier this year at PaleyFest in Hollywood.
Additional notable presenters announced include actors from the former “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” universe, with both Sarah Michelle Gellar and David Boreanaz confirmed for the ceremony. Boreanaz is also expected to promote his involvement in an upcoming NBC drama reimagining of “The Rockford Files.” Other confirmed presenters include Linda Cardellini and David Harbour, who recently won Emmy awards in limited/anthology categories, as well as Zendaya, who is nominated for lead actress in a drama series for her work on “Euphoria.”
The full list of presenters also encompasses actors such as Macaulay Culkin, Alan Cumming, Sally Field, Jon Hamm, Dan Levy, Amy Poehler, Florence Pugh, Rachel Sennott, and numerous other television and film performers. Cumming, who won an Emmy for reality program hosting over the weekend, remains in contention for an additional award in the reality competition category. The awards ceremony will be hosted by “Law & Order SVU” star Mariska Hargitay, who recently won two Emmy awards for her documentary production.
The 78th Emmys will broadcast live from the Peacock Theater at LA Live on Monday at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT. The Television Academy indicated that additional presenters will be announced at a later date prior to the ceremony.
