Australia has achieved the highest per-capita rooftop solar adoption globally, with over 4.3 million homes and small businesses equipped with panels, constituting roughly 43 percent of the total. The country’s rooftop solar capacity of 28.3 GW now exceeds its coal-powered generation capacity of 22.5 GW.
