The second season of “Heated Rivalry” has confirmed its returning cast, with François Arnaud and Robbie G.K. reprising their roles as Scott and Kip. Additional returning performers include Sophie Nélisse, Ksenia Daniela Kharlamova, Callan Potter, Benjamin Roy, Kamilla Kowal, Christina Chang and Dylan Walsh, among others.
The sophomore season will be led by previously announced cast members Justice Smith and Charlie Gillespie, alongside Connor Storrie and Hudson Williams, who originated the lead roles of Ilya Rozanov and Shane Hollander in the first season. The ensemble cast further comprises Daniel Diemer, Shaheen Jafargholi, Emily Hampshire, Edvin Ryding, Robert Naylor, Sabrina Jalees and Priyanka.
Season 2 will adapt “The Long Game,” the second installment of Rachel Reid’s “Game Changers” series, with the narrative set ten years after the central characters’ relationship began. The season will also incorporate material from Reid’s fifth book, “Role Model.” The first season chronicled hockey players Ilya and Shane as they navigated a secret romantic relationship that developed into a prolonged journey involving love, denial and personal growth.
The series was created by Jacob Tierney, who writes, directs and executive produces. Production is handled by Accent Aigu Entertainment in partnership with Bell Media’s Crave, with Brendan Brady and Jayme Alter Wilson serving as executive producers. Mike Goldbach served as co-writer for the second season.
