Baiz’s selection for the directorial role comes as he wraps production on Fight for 84, a Jamie Foxx sports drama that Netflix executives anticipate will perform well for the platform in 2027. The Colombian-born director has established himself as a prolific creator within Netflix’s crime drama space, having helmed key episodes across multiple seasons of Narcos as well as the complete series of the Sofia Vergara-led Griselda. His recent work also includes directing episodes for Netflix’s adaptation of The Sandman comic series.
