He was inducted into the Indiana University Athletics Hall of Fame in 1997, named to Indiana’s All-Century Team in 2001, and inducted into the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame in 2009. In 1984, he won an Olympic gold medal as an amateur on the U.S. men’s basketball team. He was selected 26th overall in the 1987 NBA Draft by Dallas and played four professional seasons with the Mavericks and Golden State Warriors.
