The podcast ‘Rushmore,’ created by Ari Emanuel and music manager Ben Persky, is launching its second season with distribution across YouTube and major podcast platforms. The show premiered its first season on Elon Musk’s X platform before expanding its reach for the new season.
The program centers on extended discussions about greatest-of-all-time rankings across various fields, with hosts and guests exploring the stories and history that shape these debates. Season 2 launches Oct. 20 with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell and sports analyst Pat McAfee discussing the greatest NFL comebacks. The following episode, airing Oct. 27, features basketball players Shaquille O’Neal and Kevin Durant debating the greatest starting five in NBA history. After the initial two episodes, the show will move to a bi-weekly release schedule.
Later this season, a special episode featuring Larry David and Jerry Seinfeld will air, recorded during the Netflix Is a Joke festival in May 2026 and focused on comedy’s greatest figures. Emanuel described the format as going beyond typical GOAT arguments to highlight personal narratives from prominent figures across sports, entertainment, media, fashion, music, and gaming. Persky emphasized that while debate initiates the conversations, the program’s appeal lies in the historical context and expertise that emerge during discussions.
The second season is presented by nativ.ly and produced by Pantheon Media Group, with filming taking place primarily at WME Group’s renovated Beverly Hills headquarters. The first season included 15 episodes with guests ranging from athletes like Tom Brady and Peyton Manning to cultural figures such as Anna Wintour, Rick Rubin, and Doris Kearns Goodwin.
