Three media companies have entered into a production and distribution partnership focused on commercial horror films. BondIt Media Capital will provide financing for the slate, Buffalo 8 Distribution will handle theatrical and VOD distribution, and Sandaled Kid Productions will oversee development and production duties.
The collaboration was brokered by James Cullen Bressack, founder of Sandaled Kid Productions, and Matthew Helderman, CEO and co-founder of BondIt and Buffalo 8. Both executives will serve as executive producers across the three-film slate. According to Helderman, the films are intended for release in 2027 and will target VOD audiences as part of the companies’ continued expansion into original commercial projects.
Bressack characterized the partnership as a combination of companies with complementary capabilities and shared commitment to genre-driven filmmaking. He stated the films would prioritize commercial appeal, originality and marketing potential within the horror space. The specific titles, additional filmmakers involved, and production schedules for the projects have not yet been disclosed.
BondIt was established in 2013 to address financial challenges in film production by streamlining capital deposit processes with entertainment industry guilds. Buffalo 8, founded in 2010, operates as an independent media company offering production, post-production and distribution services. Sandaled Kid Productions, launched in 2020, specializes in micro- and mid-budget genre films with emphasis on action and horror properties. Bressack’s previous film credits include “Darkness of Man,” “Hot Seat” and “Fortress.”
