David Ellison and Ynon Kreiz announce Skydance leadership team

Paramount Skydance CEO David Ellison and incoming co-CEO Ynon Kreiz unveiled the senior management structure for the combined entity on Monday, ahead of the merger’s completion scheduled for later this week. The announced executives represent a blend of talent from both Paramount Skydance and Warner Bros. Discovery, with all positions reporting directly to Ellison and Kreiz.

News division leadership will remain stable following the integration. Bari Weiss, editor-in-chief of CBS News, and Mark Thompson, chairman and editor-in-chief of CNN Worldwide, will continue overseeing their respective divisions after the merger concludes. Weiss previously joined Paramount Skydance in October 2025 when the company acquired The Free Press, a digital news outlet she established.

The streaming and content divisions will operate under a co-leadership model. Casey Bloys, currently heading HBO and Max content operations at Warner Bros. Discovery, will assume the role of co-chair and chief content officer for Skydance’s direct-to-consumer division, managing both HBO Max and Paramount+ platforms. George Cheeks, former co-CEO of Paramount, will serve as co-chair and chief content officer of Skydance TV, encompassing the company’s international sports operations. JB Perrette, who previously served as CEO and president of global streaming and games for Warner Bros. Discovery, will co-chair both divisions alongside Bloys and Cheeks.

Corporate operations will see additional leadership appointments. Andy Gordon, currently Paramount’s chief strategy officer and chief operating officer, will transition to president of Skydance. Dennis Cinelli will maintain his position as chief financial officer. Ellison emphasized in a statement that the selected leaders have established successful franchises and enterprises while maintaining commitment to creative excellence and storytelling.

The merger agreement between Paramount Skydance and Warner Bros. Discovery was announced in February with an approximate value of $110 billion. After resolving litigation from state attorneys general last month, the companies confirmed last week that the transaction would close this week.
