Moncler has launched a campaign for its new Re/Icons collection, featuring three prominent figures in entertainment and music: Cher, Grace Jones, and Jennie of Blackpink. The campaign centers on the concept of pioneering spirit, with each artist offering commentary on what it means to be a pioneer in their respective fields.
The Re/Icons collection draws from Moncler’s archival designs and reimagines them for contemporary audiences. The campaign was inspired by archival photography of Lionel Terray, an early Moncler collaborator and French mountain climber. Gabriel Moses directed and photographed the campaign, which includes both still images and a film component featuring each of the three artists separately.
In Cher’s portion of the campaign, she wears a Moncler Re/Icons Himalaya jacket in white and a Verone jacket in black, styled with a yellow scarf. The scarf serves as a tribute to a Bob Mackie design she wore on The Cher Show, with a playful tugging gesture in the campaign video referencing the original garment. The decision to incorporate this element comes shortly after the passing of the renowned costume designer at age 87.
Jennie and Grace Jones also participate in the campaign, with each bringing their own perspective on innovation and creative exploration. The collection is being made available through select Moncler retail locations and online channels.
