Singapore Media Festival Launches Creator Summit as Asia TV Forum Adds AI Zone, Microdrama Focus

The Singapore Media Festival will introduce a new creator economy event this year as part of its December programming. The Asia Creator Summit will debut alongside the longstanding Asia TV Forum & Market, with both components running Dec. 1–5 under the overall theme “The Heart of the World’s Stories.” The festival is organized by Singapore’s Infocomm Media Development Authority.

The Asia Creator Summit will operate Dec. 4–5 at Marina Bay Sands under the banner “Create. Monetize. Scale.” The program encompasses more than 20 sessions including keynotes, panels, master classes and practical workshops designed to help creators develop sustainable businesses and intellectual property with international appeal. The summit was developed in partnership with Generation Experience and Creator Revolution. Featured speakers include South Korean creator Kimpro, Japanese creator Issei and AJ Eckstein, CEO of U.S.-based Creator Match. Singapore-based participants include executives from GRVTY Media, DU Media Holdings and Gushcloud International. Creators will have opportunities to pitch to brands, with Mandarin Oriental Singapore hosting a Creator Pitch Challenge and Bloomr.SG offering up to SGD100,000 in awards for creator-focused initiatives.

The Asia TV Forum will hold its 27th edition Dec. 1–4, with organizers expecting over 5,000 content industry participants from 60 countries and regions. The opening day will feature the ATF Leaders’ Dialogue focused on “The Attention Economy,” examining how audience engagement shapes content distribution and commercial value extraction. A new strand titled “The AI Era | Entertainment Reimagined” will provide dedicated programming and exhibition space addressing AI’s implications for content creation, intellectual property rights, regulation and creative protection.

Organizers plan to expand microdrama programming at this year’s edition while maintaining existing drama showcases, accelerator programs and IP pitching initiatives. Canada and Indonesia will introduce new pavilions to the marketplace. The AI Hackathon 2026 final round will take place during the forum, featuring live creative competition and screenings of selected entries.
