Kelvin Taylor is NASA’s Senior Agency Information Security Officer (SAISO) and Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) for Cybersecurity and Privacy. As the SAISO, Taylor is responsible for implementing federal cybersecurity mandates while strengthening compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements. He leads the development, execution, and oversight of agencywide cybersecurity policies, procedures, and digital infrastructure modernization initiatives designed to enhance and improve NASA’s cybersecurity posture, operational resiliency, and mission continuity. His leadership is key to directly advancing the robustness, safety, and efficiency of our IT systems.
Taylor is federal cybersecurity executive with more than 20 years of leadership experience in cybersecurity, information assurance, network operations, and enterprise risk management. He brings extensive expertise in security assessment and authorization under the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Risk Management Framework, vulnerability management, continuous diagnostics & mitigation, incident response, and lifecycle security engineering. He has led enterprise initiatives to standardize cybersecurity services, improve risk visibility, and mature governance structures across large, and decentralized organizations.
Kelvin began his government cybersecurity career supporting federal initiatives as a contractor before entering federal service.
