Golf majors in 2027: Schedule, dates, venues for The Open, US Open, Ryder Cup and more

The professional golf calendar for 2027 includes a full slate of major championships and significant tournaments spanning from April through September. The men’s major season begins with The Masters at Augusta National Golf Club in Georgia from April 8-11, where defending champion Rory McIlroy will attempt to secure consecutive titles. The PGA Championship follows in May at PGA Frisco GC in Texas from May 20-23, with defending champion Aaron Rai seeking back-to-back victories. The US Open moves to Pebble Beach Golf Club in California for June 17-20, featuring defending champion Wyndham Clark.

The Open Championship, the final men’s major, takes place at St Andrews Golf Club in Scotland from July 15-18. The historic venue will host the 155th edition of the tournament, with Ryan Fox as the defending champion looking to retain his title.

On the women’s side, five major championships are scheduled throughout the season. The Chevron Championship is set for April at Memorial Park Golf Course in Houston, Texas, while the US Women’s Open presented by Ally will be held at Inverness Club in Toledo, Ohio, from June 3-6. The KPMG Women’s PGA Championship occurs from June 24-27 at Congressional Country Club in Bethesda, Maryland. The Amundi Evian Championship takes place in July at Evian Resort Golf Club in France, and the AIG Women’s Open is scheduled for July 28-August 1 at Royal St George’s in Sandwich, England. Nelly Korda and Haeran Ryu, who dominated the women’s majors in 2026 by winning the first four events between them, will compete for additional titles.

The season concludes with the Ryder Cup at Adare Manor in County Limerick, Ireland, from September 17-19. The 46th edition of the biennial team competition marks the 100th anniversary of the Ryder Cup tournament.
