Chloe Fineman has joined the cast of the upcoming Netflix series Myron Bolitar as a series regular, marking her first major television role following her announcement that she is leaving Saturday Night Live after seven seasons. The streamer revealed the casting alongside several other additions to the ensemble.
Fineman will portray Parker Quinn, a determined sports reporter working for a prominent publication. The series adaptation is based on Harlan Coben’s thriller novels about an NBA star-turned-sports agent, with the source material originating from 1995’s Deal Breaker. The show will be co-showrun, written and executive produced by television veteran David E. Kelley and Kyle Long.
The cast announcement included Jabari Banks from Bel-Air and Jamie McShane from Task and 1923, both signing on as series regulars. Ben McKenzie, known for his roles in The O.C. and Gotham, will appear as a recurring guest star. They join a cast headlined by Colin Woodell from The Flight Attendant in the title role, alongside KJ Apa from Riverdale and Diane Guerrero from Doom Patrol.
Greg Yaitanes, an experienced television director known for Lucky and Dutton Ranch, will serve as executive producer and direct multiple episodes. Executive producers on the project include Matthew Tinker, Harlan Coben, and Rick Muirragui. Fineman announced her departure from SNL on Thursday, stating the decision felt appropriate despite her emotional attachment to the long-running program. She joined the sketch comedy show in 2019 and has appeared in various film and television projects during her tenure, including Freakier Friday, Babylon, Despicable Me 4, and Search Party.
