Oaxaca

Oaxaca city and Oaxaca state are some of Mexico’s most enticing destinations, with a capital that’s equally cosmopolitan and authentically Mexican. This is a must-visit location for lovers of food, with a culinary tradition that’s enriched by the variety of landscapes and famous around the world for the usage of ingredients like chocolate and Oaxaca cheese, as well as several mole sauces. There’s still a strong indigenous influence in this region, with many ancient languages still being widely spoken and traditional markets where tourists can buy fine hand-made crafts. Oaxaca is also rich in natural beauty, with amazing mountain scenery that includes some of Mexico’s central volcanic belt.
